This ancestral house is the Mercado-Gutierrez Ancestral Home located in Carcar, Cebu. This historic “bahay na bato” (stone house) It’s a well-preserved example of Spanish and American-era architecture, painted in a Mediterranean blue and is owned by the Mercado clan. The house, located along the Cebu South Road, was declared a heritage house by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines in 2009.
Where to find?
The structure can be seen until current day. It is located near the highway, so you can spot it from a bus ride passing the national road along Ocania in Carcar.
